North Padre Island beach markers

South of Port Aransas the beach keeps going, and so do the markers — but they stop following Port Aransas' rules. This is the stretch running down North Padre Island toward Padre Balli Park and Bob Hall Pier, inside Corpus Christi.

Padre Balli Park and Bob Hall Pier

Nueces County publishes the Padre Balli Park beach as running from mile marker 224 to 300, with the swimming beach between 224 and 235. Beach maintenance stops around marker 235, and a 4x4 is recommended for anything further south. Bob Hall Pier sits inside the park at 15820 Park Road 22. No — the Port Aransas permit covers markers 0 to 62 and this stretch is well south of it. County and park fees may apply instead. See the permit guide for where the boundary sits.
